"What did that kid say?"

If there is such a thing as a crush at the age of 4, then Gaby's got it.
His name is Seth Rosen. He is in Gaby class and he is a cutie.
Gaby comes home gushing about Seth and the "funny stories" he tells. She insisted on inviting him over for a playdate (stay tuned.. The playdate is scheduled for Dec. 2nd) One day I went to pick up Gaby and started talking to his mom and my friend Patti. Seth began telling a story about his video game where a monster gets stuck in the gooey mud. The whole way home Gaby asked if I heard Seth's story and if I saw how he was telling it.
"Yes Gaby I did."
"But Mommy, did you see how he was laughing?"
"Yes, Gaby"
"He is so funny!"
"Yes, Gaby"

Ramiro and I are taking a very nonchalant attitude towards this.. He is of course, just another kid. We remind her that she should continue to play with her old friends and not replace them with new ones. Ramiro has been handling it quite well. Until................

We received an invitation to a holiday party. It's a Christmas Hanukkah party.
K: "Look, an invitation to a holiday party. What does Seth call this? Christmakah?"
R: "WHAT?"
K: "What?"
R: "What did that kid say?"
K: "What? Seth from The O.C."
R: "Oh, I thought you meant that other kid. And when is that playdate... I'm taking the day off of work."
K: "It's on a weekend"
R: "Good, I want to see this kid"

So much for nonchalant.
Mental note: I will have to run interference when they start dating for real!
