We survived our first 2 weeks!

So, for those of you that were wondering... yes, we are still alive.

Ramiro went back to work on Tuesday and left me with 3 kids. I do admit that I was a bit frightened, much like I was that first time that he left me with Gaby. So, doing what I do best I jumped in with both feet and both eyes shut!

I couldn't justify staying in yet anther day, so we went out to the library. The girls more than cooperated. They did a great job listening and staying close by. I don't know what I would have done had one of them had a meltdown. I did have to feed Alex at the library (I have never done that in public before) but as with all things.... there is a first time for everything. It went as well as could be expected. I did get advice from another mom as to how to use my infant sling. Another thing that's a first for me. I never used one for the girls but seeing as I only have 2 hands, I have to find a way to keep all 3 children close. That turned out to be fantastic! I sling him at least once a day now (twice today) and he and I love it! He feels cradled and secure and I have 2 free hands to do what I need to do.

My sister came to help yesterday and stayed through today. She made enough food for a small army (which I think we are now), cleaned the kitchen and did our laundry. Not something that was going to get done any time soon! God Bless her! We now have enough food for the next winter :>)

Tomorrow, Grandpa is taking Gaby and Bella. They will drop Gaby at school and spend some time together. I for one will try and rest... One can hope!

So, we are adjusting to our new family and we will wait and see what week 3 brings. As Ramiro and I have commented: we cannot believe that Alex is already 2 weeks old, and at the same time we have no idea what our lives were like 15 days ago. We do not know how we ever lived without him.
