Bella's Reaction
Gaby has been receiving tons of extra attention because of her birthday and school. Poor Bella has been subject to that of Jan Brady, reliving "Marcia, Marcia, Marcia!"
Here is how she reacted to the following three situations:
1. After Gaby's first day of school opening ceremony, where Gaby got to ring the school bell, a tradition bestowed on the youngest child in the school:
Daddy: "So Bella, what did you think of Gaby's school?"
Bella: "NOTHING..... I don't want to talk about that."
Daddy: "Why do you talk to me like that? I was just asking a question. You hurt my feelings when you talk to me that way."
Bella: "I don't want to talk about that PLEASE!"
2. While waiting in the carpool lane, Ramiro and I were talking about how excited we were to hear all about Kindergarten.
Daddy: "Bella, what are you going to ask Gaby about kindergarten?"
Bella: "Don't tell me any questions. I don't want to hear that anymore."
3. Today, Gaby's birthday, I was explaining to Bella that sometimes when people pay extra attention to someone, others might feel left out.
Mommy: "Gaby's getting a lot of calls today because of her birthday. People have been talking about Gaby a lot lately and that might make other people feel bad that no one is asking about them and people can begin to feel left out. Are you feeling left out?"
Bella: "No. What are you talking about? I'm fine!"
That's our Bella!
