One more Christmas picture

The kids took time out of their gift opening to pose for this picture alongside with Johnathon, Grandma and Grandpa Honey. How cute!

New Years Celebration

Today the girls took part in their first New Year's Celebration. They rang in the New Year (unofficially, of course) at the library. They made noise poppers and learned new traditions, like the peruvian tradition of eating 12 grapes at midnight (one for each month of the year). They counted down to noon, sang Auld Lang Syne and ate 12 m&ms.... Let's hope they are not awake when New Years really comes.

Tom & the boys

Look at how cute the boys are... I can't figure out how to crop Tom out. Sorry boys!

There's more in the stockings!

The fun kept rolling when the girls discovered their stockings 2 days later. They were so inundated with gifts that it took them 2 days to realize there was more. They got punching balloons, chocolate and of course books! They must have been extra good this year... let's see how long it lasts.

Merry Christmas Coco

Coco joined in the holiday fun. Santa was good to her too! She got a bunch of toys (with catnip!) and a stocking full of treats! Never mind she celebrated a day later since all christmas cat treats were half off! I guess she was a good girl this year.

Red Chief

Aye, that Red Chief. She insisted on getting into a basket full of clean clothes. I asked her not to but she wanted to sit on the edge. She fell in and couldn't get up. She kept saying "Get me out" I of course got the camera. When she saw the camera that's when she started crying. That Red Chief!

Central Daylight Time

As a valued contributor, can I ask that we change the time zone for this blog from Pacifict Daylight time to Central? I'm posting this at 9:00 CDT, but the post time will show 7:00.

Christmas 2005. We went to see Santa at the Waukegan Public Libary. Gaby was not afraid this year... I don't think Bella was ever afraid! Gaby asked Santa for all the things he wanted and he delivered as promised. (Big surprise!) The girls also colored pages while we waited our turn and watched Christmas movies. Santa gave each girl a book (The Three Bears and Snow White) Needless to say, it was a good time had by all!

Finns to the Left, Finns to the Right

I am honored and humbled to be invited to this prestigious board. As I review the chain of posts, this clearly is an avenue for intellectual speak, open dialogue, and political debate. It must be my education...because I feel completely uncomfortable in this prestigious Blog. You might hear back from me on January 17th, if all goes well. Until then....

Cheers.
