Freestyle Frenzy

On Friday I treated myself to a blast from the past. 1989 to be exact.
Freestyle concert featuring Stevie B. (not a big fan) but also presenting Johnnie O, Cynthia, Cover Girls, TKA and George LaMond.
Come on... you know you would have gone too.
George Lamond still looked good, although Josie did point out that he looks like Ramiro. I don't know about that. TKA was by far the best performance of the night. They were the only ones that danced the entire set. The others did a couple of moves but clearly they were going to need Celebrex after the show.
The crowd in attendance was the same crowd of back then at the Prime N Tender, except 20 years older and 30 pounds heavier... myself included. ha.
A good time was had by all... my voice is hoarse and I am so tired.
Can't wait for Freestyle '08.

Go Cubs

The girls attended their first Cub's game. It was Build-A-Bear Day, but unfortunatley, they didn't receive one due to shipping error. Build - A - Bear promises to ship their bears in addition to a special gift for their trouble.

The game itself was great! Barry Bonds hit 2 homers toward 755. Although the crowd booed, they did take a ton of pictures. We stayed through the 7th inning stretch. That was about all the girls could handle... way longer than we thought. Alex has yet to attend. That day will be a special day for dad. He is already anticipating their first batting practice.

Summer in Review

Pardon our hiatus, yet again, but we have had an action packed summer:

Gaby and Bella have had summer camp, ballet and they have started gymnastics as well. They both like the balance beam. Yikes! Between that and Great America we have been busy.
Alex, has learned to crawl and stand, he has 3 1/2 teeth and eats like a machine. He has also learned the fine art of annoying his sisters when they are in the middle of something. Whether it's building with blocks, playing dolls or even watching a dvd, there is Alex. He will knock down their blocks, take their dolls or press the buttons on the dvd player.
Dont' get me wrong... I still can't wait for school to start!
